BANDA ACEH – During his two-day visit to Aceh, Dahlan Iskan stopped by the PT PEMA office to motivate the employees of the Aceh Government-owned company. The activity held on Thursday (03/10/2024) was packaged in the form of “Town Hall Work Motivation by Dahlan Iskan” with the theme “The Role of Youth in BUMD Transformation; Realizing Innovation and Future Leadership”.
The former Minister of State-owned Enterprises in the SBY Presidential era emphasized that PT PEMA employees dare to get out of their comfort zone, and work harder than what has been done so far. “Working hard and doing something above our capabilities will not only contribute to improving the company’s performance, but also make us discover new abilities and skills,” he explained.
Dahlan likened it to the concept of “moving horizons”, where when we are in Indonesia we will see the horizon or sunset in India, when we go to India the horizon will be in Jordan and if we go to Jordan then the horizon will be seen in continental Europe.
Therefore, Dahlan emphasized to every leader to always give work to his subordinates, “it must be a heavy and difficult job because with that situation creativity will be born”.
Dahlan also motivated PT PEMA to make a new history, not relying on certain parties and maximizing the resources available in Aceh. When seeing that most of PT PEMA’s employees are young people, Dahlan expressed optimism. “Because based on experience most innovations come from young people, stamina is still okay, and rich in creative ideas,” added Dahlan.
On the occasion, the man who is familiarly called Abah also appreciated PT PEMA which no longer uses Aceh government funds for its operations and has even been able to provide Regional Original Revenue to Aceh.
The activity, which was hosted by PT PEMA’s Public Relations Officer, Cut Nanda Risma Putri, was also attended by all PT PEMA employees and attended by Lukman Age, Director of General and Finance and Faisal Ilyas, Director of Business Development of PT PEMA.
