Commercialization of Coffee Commodities

Gayo coffee has received several International Certifications due to its excellent quality. Especially its organic coffee, which has a fair trade certificate with Geographical Indication (GI).

High-quality coffee grown at altitudes between 1,200 to 1,500 meters above sea level. It has a distinctive flavor, with a touch of flowers, chocolate, and spices. The products offered are grade 1 coffee types with good semi-washed methods as well as origin coffee.

In particular, Gayo Arabica coffee received the highest score in the 2010 Indonesian Specialty Coffee Auction in Bali, which guarantees the quality of Gayo Arabica as one of the best coffees in the world. Therefore, PEMA as a BUMA has an obligation to participate in the development of the Coffee industry in Aceh, which is one of Aceh’s largest plantation products.

Gayo Arabica Coffee Trading Business, where PEMA cooperates with local partners in the form of operational cooperation (KSO). This cooperation has the potential with 950 people who have a land area of 975 Ha, with this much potential expected to be able to produce 40 Containers of coffee per year.
