Transfer of Block B Working Area
Transfer of Working Area B Working Area (WK) ‘B’ is the most productive oil and gas producing working area in Aceh province since 1977, first operated by Mobil Oil Indonesia.
More than 16 Trillion Cubic Feed (TCF) of gas and 700 million barrels of condensate have been produced from WK ‘B’, from a number of major fields, including South Arun Lhoksukon A and D.
Natural gas produced from WK B is the main raw material for the manufacture of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) produced by PT Arun NGL for export to user countries namely Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
PEMA as an Aceh-Owned Enterprise (BUMA) through its subsidiary, PT Pema Global Energi (PGE) as the Contractor of WK ‘B’ which is effective from May 17, 2021 to May 17, 2041 with a working area of 1,309 km2.
With a mature field, PT PGE will continue to operate and produce by maintaining the economic level through a series of efficiency and optimization, without reducing the safety aspects of operations.
